A. Websphere Portal (6) Express (WPE) Installation and Configuration

Installing WPE requires a thorough understanding of the companies network environment, reviewing the capability of the current infrastructure with WPE and assisting in the definition of the hardware requirements. We interview key users to obtain a better understanding of the business needs that can be addressed by WPE. As a result, as part of the installation, we will set up and configure your first team workspace and train your administrator how to administer the system. Additionally, we will customize one team template for specific requirements – modifying default portlets available on creation.

B. WPE Set up and Domino LDAP integration

Instead of using the directory that comes with WPE, we will configure WPE to use the Domino Directory for authenticating user access to the system. This includes configuring Single Sign On (“SSO”) and access to Domino web access email. These services are in addition to the services in option A above. Integration with other directories like Microsoft Active Directory, for LDAP may also be possible in this option. Alternatively, we can configure IBM Directory, or use Tivoli Directory Integrator to consolidate the various logins for the different systems in your environment.

C. WPE set up and single prototype portlet development

In addition to installation and configuration of the WPE server as outlined above, we will work with you to define a critical business application, interview key users and document requirements for creating a custom portlet. The requirements document will include a development plan and identify the key deliverables for the portlet. This option will include the requirements that can be completed within 4-6 weeks of development as to fit into this pricing package and delivery timeframe. However, further requirements that requiring additional development will be priced and delivered on an expanded timeframe.
